I've been looking at it, does it have rubber tires or foam like the Durafly?

It flies really well. Had a lot of fun. My first 1700 and 6S experience.

I know its been getting rave reviews but I dont think personally I can drop that kind of coin with HK. Is this another in house brand or a studio brand?

Not sure what a "studio" brand means, but Avios and Durafly are exclusive HobbyKing brands.
I agree with you about that kind of money for a HobbyKing plane but admittedly, those two brands have been getting better and better over the past couple of years. The first bunch of Avios were garbage and some of the current Durafly models still have a long way to go. I love my original Tundra. I put the spongy color Tundra tires on it and it a terrific airplane. I had the Eflite CZ Cub and it was a great plane, too but it was simply too big for easy transport and the disassembly and reassembly was a PITA. I sold it and got the Tundra. I fear the Grand Tundra will still be too big to transport in my car without taking it apart and it looks to be just as tedious to break down, so I'll stick to the original. I consider the old Tundra and the BushMule to be a "steal". The Grand Tundra - not so much.

Studio meaning designed by a 3rd party distributed by HK. My main concern is just parts thats it. That has been a struggle with HK. The bird looks fantastic and I am sure it is. Its just again WHO you need to deal with to get it. I just bought the J3 cub from HK but I ordered via their amazon store as I just dont trust them alone.

Yeah that's the only thing I shy away from them about is the parts. So normally I'll only buy "throw away" frames from them.
