  • Vmar T-34c Mentor

    Hello all,
I purchased a new in the box ARF Vmar T-34c Mentor at a swap meet a couple of weeks ago. The plane looks really nice, and I have always liked the Mentor as a nice alternative to the T-28. My question is if anyone out there has experience with this kit, especially in converting it to electric power? The main obstacle that I can see is where and how to cut in a hatch for battery access. The kit was designed for glow/fuel power. I am thinking a good 46 sized motor and 4-5S power would be a good match for it. The wingspan is 63", so it is a nice sized model.

If anyone has built one of these brand kits, please let me know your thoughts and anything I should look out for on them.

    Thanks,

Well, I knew it was an "off brand", but thought someone out there had tried one in the past. It isn't on my next to build list, so I will just hold off for now on it. It does look like a nice kit though, and I like T34s, so it should be fun. Heck, I only paid 100 for the kit, so I can't lose too much.
