It's hard to tell when it's onboard video only and not ground footage but it appears the plane might have been on higher rates/throws than you anticipated, causing over-controlling which created the unfortunate spin into the ground?

Obviously I have no way to know for sure based on that footage, but that was the impression I got for what it's worth. Sorry for the crash. Was that the maiden?

        @ Aros
LoL yeah it was the maiden, my rates are set at 60, expo is set at -25, the clevises are set on the most outboard hole on control surfaces and 2nd hole on servos, damage was not bad at all just a broken prop. How can I tell if I got the 1300kv or the 1700kv motor? The pictures of the 1700kv on the Motion website the motor is silver, I have a gold motor is this right? Did I some how end up with a 1300kv on a V2 airplane? I ask because this plane seems to be lacking in power. I am wondering if I stalled it, kinda hard to know for sure what happened; I took her up, the right wing dipped I gave her left stick applied up elevator let go she dropped the right wing and bingo 1 right into the ground. I have the build and setup video uploading, I had all surfaces set flat. I wish I knew what happened before I take her back up, I am just not sure what went wrong. I did a CG check with the camera mounted last night thinking my CG might have been thrown out with the cam., but I am still sitting pretty just a tad nose down. Things that a person go Hmmm lol! Thanks for your input I ordered a couple new props, and a 3s 1300mah battery for the plane today from MRC, I will try it again next weekend or when the spares arrive. :D

True statement! And I'm a 3 year AMA member too.. I like flying multirotors for making videos and they were the only ones fighting for us hobbyist types against the FAA.
Our Santa Fe club membership requires AMA membership. We have our own paved airstrip, but fly on a soccer field also. Insurance is a must! Everyone should consider their surroundings and what could happen in the event of lost control. Serious stuff! Doc

Didn't realize this thread existed, so this is a cross post from my other thread but figure I'l stick it here and get em all in one spot going forward.

FMS FW 190, filmed with Mobius camera (mounted on top) and another camera don't know the name on the bottom, super windy day, rough flying, and a rough landing!

Here's a video from flying yesterday. FW P-51D IronAss. Winds varied 9-14mph. Clear, could even seen the moon in the video at some spots.

I'll second Lauren's comment that is a nice field! Also nice smooth landing! P51 is certainly on my list of things to get in the future!

Lots of flying last Sunday. Didn't let the winds ground me, though I do prefer under 10mph. Winds were at least 10-15mph, but as you will see in the video, the 1100mm OldCrow handled it well....ah, and yes, I have a AR635 receiver in her, and it does help for sure.  This video I was running a 4s.

                              Enjoy
