    B-17 or B-25

I want to add a Bomber to my hanger. I am kinda partial to the B-17 as I built a balsa model of it when I was a kid. I am just curious as to which one is a better experience (I guess more fun to fly)? I do understand that these are Bombers and not the fighters that I am used to flying, but I still would like a plane that responds well and will handle some wind, occasional grass fields, oh and maybe a roll or 2 LOL J/K! What are your thoughts?

    Does FMS make both models?

I fly the 72" B-17 and nothing compares to sight of it airborn, including the awesome sound of 4 props. It is surprisingly light and with the huge wings actually flies like a glider, but is not fun at all in wind. Large tires handles any surface well.
The B-25 is one of my favorite bombers when it comes to flying characteristics, although smaller tires have had no problem on short grass. Both fly beautiful scale.

No idea, got it off ebay several years ago, they had the Liberty Bell and Memphis Belle. I dont believe they are made anymore. I have flown the FMS B-25 and it is a real beauty. As for the Freewing B-17, I have never met a Freewing plane I didnt like.

Hobby King has/had an 1875mm that was a ton of fun.  I painted it up as the Aluminum Overcast.  I love the B-17, and B-25 as well.  FMS doesn't have a B-17, only the B-25. I had one of those too which I painted an aluminum livery.  Freewing has a nice 63" wingspan B-17 that we carry.

Thanks Bryan, yeah I love silver/yellow trim warbirds. Usually silver/aluminum really makes some of these warbirds look less like models and more like mini versions of the real thing.

You just cant replicate the sound and sight of a twin or especially a 4 engine -17. That FMS yellow and aluminum -25 is such an eye catcher I ordered one and am looking forward to the build/paint and fly.
