Agreed, very cool plane. I'm still wishing for a P-38, but a Twin Mustang would be pretty cool too...

Thought I would throw is out there to ya. VQ just came out with a couple new models and the F-82 is one of them. It is basically the only one available out there.

I saw it when I was looking for my SBD-5 Dauntless in 1/8 scale. Unfortunately the foamie market is NOT gonna fill the niche of everthing we like so even though I am a balsa to foam convertee (5 FMS 1400 warbirds), I've found myself reverting back to the balsa ARF's in order to get what I desire. VQ makes some nice stuff (have the P-39 and now the Dauntless) and Hobby People has been pretty reasonable with shipping costs.

OV10-I did see the new VQ models, and they do look pretty nice. I like that new F-82, very sharp looking plane. On the twin note, I saw that Tower Hobbies is introducing a new P-38 this summer as well, and it will be in foam. I believe it is under their Fliteworks lineup. I am watching this one as well and hope it will be a good one!

Common misconception that the F-82 uses 2 mustang fuselages ... There's actually no parts in common between the aircraft.

True (I thought that some minor airframe parts were common to the "H" model).  The F-82 has the fuselages stretched about 6 feet when looking at the P-51D. Ops, then there are all the those Military spec'd parts! :rolleyes:

Even the bubbles of the F-82 are a couple of FEET longer than the P-51's
