Thanks Lauren. I cringe when I get a nose over. And that last one required some front gear repair... But after the flight, I at least have some drama to share with all of you! Lol!

          RE: Freewing CTLS Fligt Design

I still have a Master Airscrew 8" prop three blade on my CTLS. I have more of the stock 9" three blades. But they are brittle...

The problem is, the 8" requires almost full throttle to get anywhere. I have another 9" three blade being shipped, that I hope will give it more thrust. I know a two blade would do better. But I love the three blade scale looks.

Anyone else try different three blades on their CTLS?

I don't have a CTLS but I do have 3 bladed propeller planes... I use Master Airscrew props like you which hold up really well I think.... Plenty of sizes available too. Is that the 9 inch you got?

Thanks Lauren. It comes with a 9X8. But I put on a Master Airscrew 8X7. Took a lot to get it airborne. Went back to the stock this morning. Still takes a lot of juice to get it up.

              from this morning at 7AM.

It does take a long rollout to get her airborne, but mine cruises along at half throttle fine after she's up. Haven't thought about changing the stock prop. Seems you like the original better.

I don't know if mine will do that. Although I imagine if I was flying it in a strait line, I may be able to keep it up. But once I do anything like turning, I need to start feeding more power. Or, so it seems. Maybe it's just my nervous nelly tendencies... :)

The stock prop is not much better now that I went back to it, compared with the Master Airscrew 8X7.

But I have another 9" three blade that will hopefully be here today.

Today, it was a bit breezy and I did notice I had to keep the throttle to her a bit more. Also, you might be a bit heavier with that camera, I didn't think about that.  I floats in real nice for landings with just a tad of flaps.  Have you been using yours?

I didn't install flaps. But the Möbius cam is dead center of the fuse in the cabin. I think the cam weighs 30 grams or something. Pretty light for anything but a smaller plane. Though any weight will change things. But flew without the cam before. Same thing. Sometimes at full throttle on turns. Or coming out of them. Waiting to get my new prop. Will try it out!

Here's a strange camera angle for ya! :)

Kookey windy flight. This audio clip was a lost new pilot... With ATC trying to help.

Another CTLS flight from yesterday. This one was a bit of a hard landing. That seems to be what I say on every post! Lol. Think the front gear will have to be looked at again...
