I have debated for some time on getting the Cirrus just haven't because I love the detailed scale of and its a beautiful plane. Well, now they have the Cherokee! I know it also has great detail, but lacks the size compared to the Cirrus. I was just wondering some you guys input on which performs best in your opinion. Both does seem to do well according to the videos I've seen and both cost about the same.

I have the Cherokee and love it! I haven't flown the Cirrus to compare it, however, owners of both are pretty evenly split which they like more. Some suggest the Cirrus is a little more aerobatic, which makes sense given the shape. The Cherokee is considered to be more stable. Both are well detailed. I loved the Cirrus, but have an emotional attachment to the Cherokee after growing up around PA-28 aircraft. The choice really comes down to if you love the classic looks of a 1960's aircraft or the sleek modern lines of the Cirrus.

I have the Cirrus and a friend has both the Cirrus and Cherokee. He has trouble greasing the landings with the Cirrus but when he got the Cherokee, he could grease the first landing. For many flights, I was having trouble with the Cirrus landings but after many touch and goes and experimenting with different approach speeds and flap setting, I'm able to do perfect landings each time. The Cirrus needs to come in with some throttle and NO flaps or it will either stall and/or bounce all over the place, possibly dropping a wing and crashing. The Cherokee, it seems can come in using flaps or no flaps and is much nicer to land on the same kind of ground and same pilot.
The Cirrus has a long, slender wing (front to back) compared to the Cherokee's short, dumpy wing. The Cherokee's wing makes it a more stable platform for "dumb thumb" flying. The Cirrus looks nicer in the air but you can't argue the stable landing approach of the Cherokee.
