Help with 1700mm Corsair landing gear linkage

Hello. I have recently purchased the FMS 1700 mm corsair. I built the plane and got everything working and then stripped it down to paint. Unfortunately I am having trouble with the maingear door linkage. Unfortunately I did not mark which linkage went where. And now the geometry is frustrating me. When I put the linkage on with the doors open then upon activation the doors do not close all the way. And they did work properly before I stripped it down to paint. I was wondering if there was Anyone with this plane who would be willing to help me with the correct placement of the linkage and the correct links? Pictures would be great as well.

That one linkage looks to be correct. Now hook up the other linkage to the other side of the servo arm (outer hole as in the first one) and test. You may have to unclip one or both of the connectors at the door and adjust the length by trial and error till they close to your satisfaction. Also, did you actually remove that arm from servo? If you did, you may need to "clock" it differently so it has full range of movement and in the right direction. In this Corsair, each rod pushes on the door arm to close, pulls on it to open.
It's all done by trial and error so you can see how the arm moves and what it needs to do to work the doors.

Thank you for your reply. I apologize for this late response. It was bad timing on my part. I posted this question and then left for a Labor Day weekend getaway.
I understand what you were telling me but it is totally not working. First off I did not do anything but unscrew the servo to move it so that I could paint. I did not remove the horn from the servo so it should still be in its original factory position. And I believe that I have the servo positioned in the same way which came. So when I have the gear down, doors open, I connect one linkage from the servo horn to the door and it’s most open position. But when I close the gear it only closes 3/4 of the way. This just doesn’t seem logical to me. This should be so simple but it is perplexing me. What I would greatly appreciate, just for my own peace of mind, is if someone who has this plane could measure the length of those linkages for me.

Swap linkages. One is always longer than the other. You may have mixed them up when you took them off and put one back on again. Worse comes to worse, just adjust the linkage till the both work the way you want. Oh, you didn't remove the servo did you? Maybe it's turned around.

Hello. Thank you for the help. With a lot of trial and error I was able to get that figured out. Now I have another issue. The tail wheel is not locking into position when in open position. I don’t think it ever fully extended from what I have seen of others but it did hold once extended. But for some reason now it compresses almost touching the bay doors to the ground. I saw a video on YouTube a while back about this problem but can’t find it. The tail hook is in its proper place. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw a video on YouTube a while back about this problem but can’t find it. The tail hook is in its proper place. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a trick to getting the tail wheel to lock. You must deploy the retracts so that the tail wheel servo is at its fully deployed state. Watch it to see how it moves and how it rotates. Nevermind for the moment where the wheel is. Now, you must unscrew the servo arm and "clock" the arm so that it's pointed inline with how the force is acting on it to collapse the gear. When it's "inline", the force cannot act to rotate the servo. In this configuration, the weight of the tail on the wheel can't try to move the servo arm.
