Maiden of the Dynam Waco

I finally got the chance to put Snoopy in the air !! First one was adjusting trim as is always the cause but on the second battery the prop came off !!!!!!! Lucky I was up high enough to bring him down without crashing . That was a first for me and hope the last . No damage at all thank goodness. Put the prop back on tightened and went back up for a few more batteries . What a great flying plane , can't go wrong if your thinking of getting one .

Nice flying there Bryan! Very smooth, and that yellow really shows up well. Classy looking plane for sure!

I've learned that you have to really scuff up the motor shaft on all Dynams. I first use 80 to 120 grit emory cloth then use a small triangle file to cut a few shallow grooves in the shaft or they Will come off!!!

Thanks Loneflyer , yea Farmflyer your right . That shaft is just way too smooth . I put a small piece of tape on it for the collet to bite on . If that doesn't work I will be filing a groove into it . I was lucky to be as high as I was to not brick it down to the turf .

I've noticed that the collet it self seems softer. When I've had them spin off it looks like the inside of the collet looks like it reamed out a little.
