Should have the Rock Hobby Critical Mass arriving this afternoon. I see they are now out of stock so I may have picked up the last high speed version. I've watched one construction video, seems pretty straight forward. Anything I need to look out for? Same question goes for the maiden. I ordered the Spectrum AS3X receiver and will use my DX6 radio. I'm currently flying the E-Flight 1100mm Mustang, E-Flight Taylorcraft, Flyzone Beaver, Freewing Intruder, and ParkZone Albatros. I consider my flying ability in the beginner/ intermediate stage.

RE: Critical Mass High Speed
Congrats...it is a fine plane. I have the original version (pre-high speed). No bad tendencies that I've found. Take offs are typical of tail draggers and landings are beautiful. It flies on rails and will go precisely where you point it. I can't imagine what the high speed will do knowing how well mine does. I did swap the stock tires for a pair of low bounce Dubros. Enjoy!GP Sport Zero, scratch built MA Sky Skimmer, VQ SBD, Eflite Pulse XT & RV-9, FW Stinger 64, Hanger 9 Saratoga, GP P6-E Hawk, FMS Stuka & B-25, Lanyu Do335, PZ Albatros, Eflite Hurricane 25e, Airfield F4-U, Freewing P-51D, Dynam Tempest, Bf-110 & 182, GWS Mustang & Formosa, FZ Switch, Eflite L-4, RocHobby Critical Mass, Alien Aircraft Gadget, RCM&E scratch built CanDoo, Dynaflite Piece O’Cake, HK Ventus, FZ Beaver, Avios Sea Fury, Uravitch 52" OV-10, Herr Engineering J-3

RE: Critical Mass High Speed
I maidened it this morning, flew great, couldn't even find a trim to adjust. It has a bad tendency to nose over when taxiing. I brought it home and put four spacers under the rear screws of the retracts, two on the left and two on the right. I checked the retract function and the wheels still fit nicely in their holes. I used a spare control horn back plate to make the spacers. I drilled out the holes a tad and cut the back plate into quarters to make four spacers. That may not be enough. I'll report back.
