Has anyone ever ordered one? I was thinking that I have almost all the electronics from my crashed Ferocious Frankie and a kit is only $200. Might be worth it to get one and build it?

RE: Warbird Kits....
A kit is a good way to go especially if you already have existing electronics from a former plane like you have. Happy landings! My YouTube RC videos:

RE: Warbird Kits....
I built the Big Beautiful Doll kit and retracts were installed from the factory. I just needed servos, ESC, and motor.
Edit: The gear door servos, sequencer and quick connectors, etc were all present too. ALL I needed to complete the built was the motor the receiver, and AIL, ELE, RUD, FLAP servos.

Thanks Todd! (By the way, "former" plane is a good way to put it considering the condition it's in.... LOL!)Originally posted by Aros.MotionRCA kit is a good way to go especially if you already have existing electronics from a former plane like you have. Happy landings!

RE: Warbird Kits....
I've bought the one of the kits before . By the time I did a inventory I had a few spare parts for back up .the kit I got came with more than I thought it would . My next crash I will do the same again .
It's a great money saver if you have the electrics you need .

RE: Warbird Kits....
That's for sure Bry! Of course now I am torn between getting a kit, or spending money on a high tech motor glider (Multiplex Cularis), or a low tech motor glider (Towers Vista). So many decisions huh? LOL!
SOB, It's not my fault you're gonna spend more money! LOL!Lauren

RE: Warbird Kits....
I got the Solaris from Multiplex that I LOVE. Such a great flying foam sailplane for the size and class. From lazy, slow gliding looking for thermals to thrilling high speed aerobatics, its one of my recent investments I am really happy to have pulled the trigger on. If you're thinking that direction you might take a closer look!My YouTube RC videos:

RE: Warbird Kits....
Thanks Todd! How was working with the Elapor foam? Easy? I've had my Radian for two years now and so has my friend Shane who I fly with and we've had a ball with them, especially this past weekend when a blind man could find a thermal. Since Sunday we have been looking at getting "something even better" than the Radian for thermal gliding but really there is not a lot of stuff out there, at least for motor gliders, that can beat the Radians glide ratio that I can see from YouTube vids. There's quite a few designed for acrobatics and lots of warmliners and hotliners but what I am really looking for is something with outstanding thermal ability. How do you feel about the Solius' ability to catch and hold a thermal? (Time to go watch some Solius vids now too... LOL!)
(EDIT: That one is pretty impressive Todd.... The price is better too. I like!)Lauren
