  • Better propeller recommendation for the Parkzone F4U-1A Corsair

the resident expert at my local flying field in North Las Vegas, NV suggested that for better performance I should try an APC "10.8" propeller. I must have mis-heard him because props are rated with 2 numbers (diameter and pitch). Is it a safe bet that he meant "10 x 8"? This is for the Parkzone F4U-1A (the 44" wingspan version that they sold a few years ago). Thank you.

Yes, you can run a 10 x 8 APC prop without changing the esc.
If you want to hop it up ...
I installed the ParkZone Bf-109G, PKZ4901, 10.6 x 7.8 three blade prop on all my PZ warbirds including the Corsair.
However, to do that it draws 38 amps at Wide Open Throttle “WoT” so you’d have to install a 45 amp speed controller also.

I’ve been running the 4 blade prop off of the 1.2 birds on mine for some time without any problems. Im running the stock electronics.
