Another place "Rancho San Antonio" where i live close by Los Altos, California offers a wild life refuge where drones are allowed. The only gripe i have about this place is parking space due to hikers and joggers. As well as the runway is essentially made out of dirt rocks and weeds. Good for your average war-birds 1100mm size and up to avoid prop strikes.

No EDF's or pushers allowed here due to the noise decibel is limited to 60DB

Another place i like to take my float planes out to is at the Los Banos Creek Reservoir. Rangers allow the operation of RC aerial vehicles here. Parking 5 bucks for the day, and you can pretty much launch anywhere.
This place is a bit far out 1.5 hours outside of the area where I live but is a nice place to fly float planes and operate RC boats.

Another place that i fly at is right off of the San Francisco Bay. I call it "Sierra Point"
Take the 101 off Sierra Point. No EDF's before 9AM because people live on the boats docked at the harbor. Space is confined so this arena is suitable only for advanced pilots

There is an abandoned Airfield in Scotts Valley California. We call it "Skypark" , which is about 30 mins drive from where i live. Run way is not the best but the bombers can handle it just fine. I do not advise EDF's operation in this sector due to rocks and confined approach space.

There is an abandoned Nasa Naval base known as Crows Landing. Patterson California, 1.5hours commute without traffic best to leave at 6AM or earlier to guarantee minimal commute.

Visited a new RC club called Trabuco Flyers and gave joyride in a Avios Spitfre, a couple weeks ago. Great people, well kept club facilities and surrounded by lush hills. It’s an awesome club

Rifelman, if you were referring to The Bronco, yes my friend built it quite a few years ago. It has sat in his trailer along with a Top Flite P51 Mustang for almost 2 years now. I've been after him for a long time to fly it. It seems that Golf and 4 wheelers have had him busy lately.
