Hi WrightBrosRC.

That is a great video. I sure got some chuckles out of it. The P-51 landing to the side of the runway was NOT the pilot's fault at all, because right after takeoff, those nasty runway gremlins moved in and relocated the runway about 40 feet away from the original location, so when the P-51 lined up for the landing, it was just a total lost cause.
I also liked the footage of the E-flite Dehavilland Beaver, as that is what I use for my camera plane. It is a great platform for the camera. And along those lines, here is some footage recorded from my onboard camera plane of our flying field that I took several years ago. I made a mistake and inadvertently - in my above post - referred to my plane as an E-flite Dehavilland Beaver when in actuality, it is a FlyZone Dehavilland Beaver. Sorry for any confusion that this may have caused!

I've been thinking, with the quarantine down time, I should sort through my video footage, and make a crash compilation.

My guess is, I can probably find a good MP3 download of the theme song from "The Benny Hill" show for the background music.

Took my E-flite PT-17 out for a couple casual sorties now that we are enjoying a high pressure system setting up over the PNW...

I have taken mine nearly every trip to the field, which until 2 weeks ago when our field closed was around 2 - 4 times a week. I wore out 4 Admiral 2200 batteries, one set of tires, and 2 wing servos.
It is still a favorite and is helping me to fine tune some more advanced maneuvers. Between this one and the T-6 from EFlite, I get a lot of compliments while I am just having fun. Another club friend is on his second one - he spend a lot of time inverted. I should edit the footage Aros caught On UToob...

Would you be willing to reveal the equipment you use for your FPV vids? Especially the headtracking equip and the cameras. They look incredibly clear and focused. Really excellent stuff.

The FPV equipment I used is DJI Goggles Race Edition (RE) combo. It comes with head-tracking Transmission built-in, which I like a lot. Though HT does loose track of center from time to time. Be warned, this system performs poorly in low light.

I have moved on to their next digital FPV system, called DJI Digital FPV or just DJI FPV. Much improved resolution and low light performance - important since I love flying at dusk. Though they no longer include head-tracking.

My home field is pretty, when not under the smoky blanket from forest fires. Looks different compared to previous video in brighter conditions. This time with head-tracker to enjoy the views as if from real cockpit, also approaching from opposite end of field. Pared with jazzy tunes for your enjoyment.

Still the original from the first shipment, for the most part. I have changed EDFs to the inrunner 12blade setup. On the 2nd set of nose retracts and different mains.

With the season changing, this is one of my favorite times of the year to fly. The scenery is beautiful and the grass is green again. The field has been very busy recently. As flying weather becomes less frequent, the fair weather days get pretty busy at the field.

Flying the long ago discontinued Hangar 9 60" Beast Bi-Plane at AMPS Field in Miami. Haven't flown it in a while and it Still is a great flying aircraft (just needs a better pilot)! Need to get it out more but takes up the entire truck bed since I refuse to take the wings off for transport!

Better late than never. I finally put the list together for any one who wants to fly head-tracking FPV like I do. It is as close to flying in a full scale plane as it gets!

I like very smooth control inputs when flying FPV. And in a big jet like Freewing MiG-29, the “in cockpit” experience with head-tracking is so realistic! Go up high to enjoy a second sunset, look around and check out the mountain ranges. Then swoop down and do some lazy aerobatics, all the while runway can be in view with a simple head turn to keep orientation. So much fun it’s hard to describe
