    Air Titan review

    -OPENING THE BOX-
The box was well protected and came damage free.

    -THE BUILD-
Building this plane was easy as well (foam planes are amazing for the build time.) wings are 2 section and uses a carbon rod and a bolt plate that is sunk into the wing foam. landing gear and tail screwed down. The decals were pr-applied and nicely done.
    -FLIGHT-
I use the 3600-4000 4's lipo's. I found for me that I did not have to change the CG for either batteries used. for my dual rate setup I used the following.
    1: low rates 50%
    2: medium 72%
    3 High 100%
this is for all surfaces and i used 1 switch for each surface on my DX9
expo for all I used 50% but use to what you like.
    Flaps are
takeoff flaps 50% elevator mix 10% up
Landing flaps are 100% elevator 14 % up
set up your servo speed to 4-5 second delay that gets rid of the balloon effect
    -THE FLIGHT-
This plane is a real joy as well to fly and very stable yet do amazing aerobatics. On takeoff roll, very little was needed to get off the ground. it does invert with almost no up pressure needed. Using the flaps really makes the plane fly slow and predictable. Landings are a breeze as well.
    -OVERVIEW-
You will love this one and at night it's a real hoot to do. I have not tried glider tow but this has the power to pull one for sure.
    -CONS-
The only con is my tow servo is bad and need to be replaced. I will do the surgery later on. I also got the floats so will be trying them as well.
    I hope you enjoyed

I flew TechOne's Air Titan four times now and agree that it flies stable and predictable. Handles some wind good too. It has a thoughtfully built fuse and wing set. Unfortunately some parts and factory QC are disappointing. The first Air Titan I bought had many issues, f.i. wheels not round, hatch lock broken, prop centering rings too small, a destroyed elevator servo and elevator pushrod jammed. Motion RC changed it for a new one without a fuss. The plane has a good performance and ease of handling, fast enough to have fun, slow when needed with it's flaps. I mounted a 13x10 prop which makes it more agile. Although it’s 2,5 kilos it lands easily due to it's large wings, with flaps deployed about 30 or 60 degrees at a controllable speed.
    Some issues I have :
    - Getting the CG right as recommended with a 4000 4s lipo of 420 grams will still needed 100 gram extra weight in the nose. However, when I took it to the air I found out it was nose heavy. So I took out 60 grams and with the CoG at 100 mm flies great.
    - A nasty habit of the Air Titan is it spontaneous climb when accelerating at level flight. I adapted the motor pitch, pointing it down a few degrees, but that did not help a great deal, to my surprise. By the way, I suppose you will get into trouble with your spinner, but I don't use one. I wonder if Techone has a solution for this problem.
    - Unfortunately the Air Titan has some poor quality parts and low quality assembly that spoils a part of the fun.
