A Mitchell from an unlikely place

We haven't had the best experience with Banana Hobbies and are nervous about their planes. But, sometimes you need to jump. The biggest reason why we hopped on the Mitchell, was because of the difficulty finding a foam model of this plane.

It's too bad you didn't get the FMS one before they discontinued it.

Well actually, we have that plane and are repairing it right now! I did not like that FMS model because the nose gear was really weak. Overall, I enjoy flying this over the FMS version.

I have a few of the FMS B-25s and I agree with your assessment of the nose gear. I replaced all of my nose gears and added an oleo. No more issues!

Yeah, I went through 3 nose gears on my old FMS B-25. I still have a spare one in my parts box that I forgot to give to the buyer. Granted, the nose gear was weak and I felt the plane (V1) needed more power but considering the overall quality of BlitzRCWorks, which may just be a re-branded LX model, I still prefer the FMS. Perhaps the V2 of the Banana Hobby house brand is better. Admittedly, BRCW has been getting better over the past couple of years.

I swapped the B-25 nose gears out for FMS P-39 nose gears. I also added an oleo. No more troublesome nose gear and better ground handling.
