  • Hobbyzone Sport S Cub

A couple of the guys had these this past weekend and they were really fun little planes so I just ordered one from MRC. One of the guys had put the teeny tiny Spektrum FPV camera/transmitter on his and even though it made the plane a bit heavy it was still totally flyable via FPV. I was kind of amazed at the range of that little transmitter honestly. Anyways, I think it will be a fun evening flyer!

Flygirl - they are fun. Friend and I generally fly them in the same small space. Will take off on a dime (as a test I had my tailgate down (silverado 1500) and plane on the tailgate. Ramped up to full power and it took off (dipped a little once off tailgate but still a good 18 inches off the ground. They are resilient (*grin* I took my eye off due to being to close to friend in expert mode and it crashed, some tape to cover the slight tears in the wings and it is flying again. ). Safe as always is very forgiving but expert allows you to do whatever you want. Hell after using this one with safe I just bought the corsair with safe *LOL*

Ah yes my 'Ol' Weedwacker ' lineage!
They are a lot of fun, especially in a breeze, you can hover them!  They're tough as nails and a great little trainer.   I'd love to put ailerons on her, anyone done that?

Thanks Steve and GMan! I was looking for a calm flyer to sit down on the dock and fly while having wine and cheese or beer and hot dogs. LOL! We were talking about setting all three up with FPV and doing pylon races. LOL!

LOL!! Okay.... I don't want it to dunk in the water! I did that last year with one of my quads. It was a 450 I was flying FPV. I didn't notice the tree branch above the quad, hit it, and kerplunk. Sunk like a rock.... Only damage though was 1 ESC. I got lucky that it was in only 5 feet of water too.... :)

Nah, cuz I was was SURE I had the talent to not hit anything.... Hahahaha! All I saw in the goggles was a flash of green and the world started spinning. Not one of my better days. LOL! I transferred all the FPV stuff over to my bigger Y6 multirotor for the rest of the vacation. I managed NOT to hit anything with that one... ;)

Nah, I'm not going to hit anything.... Hahaha! I actually think I have some that might work... I had a UMX Carbon Cub (didn't like it much) that I had floats for. I gave the plane away to a guy who flies at our field but I think I still have the floats somewhere.

Welp, I got it and maidened it yesterday evening. Sooooooooo relaxing! I flew with my friends Shane and Jeff, part of our little 3 Sheets 2 the Wind club and I think they might be getting one for each of themselves now. That would make 5 of us with them so we were thinking of really slow pylon races. LOL! Anyways, this is a very cool little fun flyer!
