  • Dynam Pitts Model 12 Yellow 1070mm (42") Wingspan Question

I see this plane uses a 4S 2200. Do you think it will be fine using a 4S 3000? I already have those batteries.

RE: Dynam Pitts Model 12 Yellow 1070mm (42") Wingspan Question

I tried to put a 2400 in mine but would have to cut out the battery compartment to accommodate the larger battery. Plus it would also have been tough getting the battery plugged in and out under the metal support.

I heard plane runs fine on 3S 3300 batteries also. I have 3S 4000 which I am going to try once I get plane.

The largest I've used were Admiral 4s 2500. I haven't tried 3000s, and personally wouldn't want the extra weight, but I'd imagine as Dewey said that some modifications to the battery bay would be needed. Measure twice, cut once, and re-verify your CG.

Guess I will just have to wait and see how the 3S batteries perform. Thanks everyone..
