    Greetings GMan,

I believe that they are finally realizing that the pilots that require anything even remotely near 18 channel capability (regardless of how many data points are being measured/tracked) are the minority. Minority sales = price reduction. (Barring technological advancement)

Sure, there are those pilots with lots of gadgets and gizmos, bells and whistles sucking up lots of channels and sure, there are those who will buy one because they simply don't have one but IMHO, it's the guys like us who typically fly 4-7 channel planes that represent the majority of the hobbies population.

If that wasn't true, then why would a transmitter with only 6 channel capability include 250 model memory??

As with most things in life, it's all about the numbers. Again, IMHO.

Although the price is not the main consideration, I refused to pay so much for a foam pane.  It is a matter of principal with me. :)

        Greetings Pheonix,

        Indeed.

The reviews on this plane are starting to trickle in now some positive and some negative.
That's pretty typical of most planes.

I just haven't read any (non-sales oriented) reviews that have lead toward coveting this plane thus far.

I'm thinking this bird will be a highlight on this year's Christmas Sales Rack!!

I did, a good review and it does fly great, but ow!, the sticker shock.  Now, I'm sure that there are people out there who aren't worried about that and, to be sure, if it was the plane I've been drooling over, I would probably find a way.
Here's a thought, is it possible that its a 'feel out' product to see if the market will support a $550 foam airplane?
It's sure not the most expensive plane on the market, when you start to look at some of the giant scale planes, but as it's not tricked out with a highly detailed cockpit or a great, metal, spring loaded set of landing gear or at least a three bladed prop. (stop me, I'm having a deja vu moment here), hmmm.
Personally, I've been eye balling the Dynam Waco, and watching Ryan fly it, (and let's face it, you could tie a prop on a brick and power it with a rubber band and Ryan could make it look like the perfect flyer, he's that skilled IMHO) it looks every bit as appealing to me, and at $170, plus the fact that I have a ton of 2200 three cell batteries and a receiver ready to plop into it, for me, no contest.

              Greetings Ryan,

Like most here on the forum I watch all of your videos.....

Admitedly though, I wish more were actual first time flights and not second and third takes where things are already tweeked out.
Let me see what I am likely to really expect when I hit the runway for the first time with these planes.

It's OK if it's not perfect but, it would be realistic (understandably, that might scare off a few sales).

The big scale T-28 issue is not one of flight worthiness, I mean come on, it's a T-28 and ALL T-28's fly great!!

At its current price point it has to be looked upon as a 'specialty' item that everyone will/does want but, only the fortunate few can justify.

Someday I might pull the trigger on the big T-28, but not this day.

              Great video though....

Thanks guys! The second flight was as good as the first. I had intended to post the maiden video but the audio was garbage, so I canned it. Even when there's tweaking I try to call it out, like a little lead here or some expo there. I hear you though, I wish I could film all the maidens. Mike did film the maiden on the F16 if you guys want to see it.

                Thanks for watching.
                Thanks for the nice comments.
I always hear what your saying and keep it in mind as we move forward.

                Kind regards,
                Ryan

                  Greetings Ryan,

                  Totally understood my friend.....

You're kind of in a tough spot but, you're both doing a really great job as I've stated many times before.
(I'd show you but , I'm at almost 1,300 posts on this forum and they might be a bit of bugger to find, :-) )

The little tid-bits you guys are able to share are very helpful.
Just keep up the awesome work bringing us what you can.

I suppose half the fun (while nerve wracking at times) is discovering the little, needed tweaks on our own.
Provides a sense of satisfaction when they're finally overcome.

I'm really hoping you'll be doing a video/flight review on the Dynam Albatros.
I've already ordered one and I'd be very interested to see if you guys experience some of the reported characteristics of this plane.
Especially related to the specified CG and need for lots of nose weight..

RE: The New E flite T 28 (78") Wingspan BNF

Hello everyone. I have been reading into this thread some and thought I would share some things. A club member just purchased one and first flight was Sunday. He purchased his with with the stabilization. Our club flying ace flew it first flight to check trim and all, and to be honest that thing was locked in. I helped him with CG and checked to see that all of his control surfaces looked visually in line. Did some slight adjustment on the elevator at the clevis. Needless to say the flight went flawless. The person who bought it has been flying fixed wing for a couple months or there abouts. He is a quad guy but he is now flying fix winged as well. So his experience level has been a 3s foam high wing plane, a fairly nice piper cub with a 70 something inch wingspan with a  Saito 72 4 stroke glow for power. He has no problem flying that plane. We flew today and he flew it a couple times. He is using the 5000MaH Admiral batteries. The batteries he has are brand new so his initial flight was roughly 6 minutes and he said it ate up almost 80% of his battery! He told me that today, and I kind of thought that the batteries would actually get better after he has discharged and balanced them a few times. Well today he flew about the same amount of time and his battery was showing 43% still left in the tank so to speak. He has not used the flaps to try to land nor did our club flying ace.

The appearance is in its size. Compared to the 55 inch FMS on a scale appearance there is no contest. The FMS out scales it by a really long way. The foam is the typical parkzone dimply look. The paint job looked ok or as well as it could. The landing gear is e-flight, which is good. The shame of it not having any oleo type gear at that price is bull**** in my opinion. But, if you can keep the landings reasonable and no pancakes or nose wheel first it should be ok. No gear doors is not a big deal, at least on the mains. The nose wheel though does look weird to me with that big old hole and no door. They were definitely going for less mess on this one. I thought the tires, like alot of models, were a little bit on the small size, but not terribly small. The prop is a two blade which means you can probably play around with some prop sizes, of course always check your amp draw when you do so. I appears to me to have plenty of power. I do not believe there is any power issue at all with the two blade prop set up. I dont know if its getting your moneys worth or not. Thats up to the person who buys it. The pros of it not being all scaled out makes it seem more of a daily flying plane, especially with the parkzone/e-flight durability. I would summarize that plane as a really really good entry plane for the guy who is flying maybe the 55 inch foamies and wants a taste of large scale/30cc type plane, without it being a 460.00 dollar 1700mm current FMS warbird lineup.

With all my blah blah blah, let me get to it. I have a video of the maiden flight on my youtube channel I will post. I know motion has there review flights up and thats great. But I thought everyone who is interested might want to see a typical consumer flight with it. So here it is. Enjoy!

                          Good Video Ben, appreciate it.
Hey Ryan, you and Mike are very much appreciated in this household.  Before purchasing, I check out your video on any plane I'm considering.  The last plane I purchased was the FMS Pitts, although I studied Mike's video, I'd love to see more of you guys flying it.
As a matter of fact, it, to me at least, would be the perfect plane for a take off clinic-type video as its got so much power.  Any possibility?
