    Hellcat Ready to Go

It helps to have a brother-in-law in Stone Mountain Georgia that also flies.  All I have to do is ask him for a particular plane and he sends it to me at NO charge.  What a great guy.  Just finished my Dynam Hellcat with a Bigfoot 25 motor, a 65 amp Motion RC Gecko.  Will maiden soon as it cools off just a bit here.  I still have a little touch up to do.  By the way, the power plant is really good fit for this model with a 5-cell Zippy compact.

            Greetings,

Have you flown this plane in its stock configuration?

I would like to know how it and your new setup compare?

Best of luck on the maiden!

I did not fly in the stock configuration because of the ordnance I wanted to add. Some at my flying field has the stock set up and the plane flies very well.  No problems that I am aware of. It is a good flying plane.

                Greetings,

I have been flying this plane for quite a while and I agree it's a great flyer.

I was just curious to learn how the two setups compared.

                Thanks,

Thanks Alpha.  I am thinking about the Corsair now.  However, I see there are few spare parts available right now.  I supposed they will be with the next trailer.  Is this correct?  I am working on the entire Dynam war bird line.  I am only a few planes away. Thanks.

I just built the Dynam Corsair and really like it . No problems but be careful on doing the CG , had to add some weight to the nose . Flies great

                      Greetings Hippie,

I'm glad to hear that you are pleased with the Corsair!!

I have had my eye on that one for a while.
I just last evening watched Ryan's flight video on it and it looked pretty sweet.

I really like the deep, deep blue they used on it.

                      Best of Luck!!!!

Rktr , mine is almost Black !!! I used the Hobby Coat on it and it really looks nice . My last flight the wind came up really fast and strong . It handled it well but my nerves were not up for it so I brought it in . I talked with Ryan before I ordered and he told me to not hesitate that would be happy . I am very !!!!!

https://vimeo.com/137708776  Do be ready to add a little nose weight to it

                          Nice video.....

The coating on the Corsair looks great!!

Have you noticed any issues with there not being a wing spar??
                          I was curious about that.

Wing spar has not been an issue . The handling is great ,I was a little bit leery of the Corsair it being a hand full to fly but its the opposite .

I used a foam brush to apply . Put some in a bowl and just dipped away . I will say that I prefer a spray looking finish better . I always get some lines when I brush on anything but I'm still happy with the Hobby Coat . Think next time I'll break it down with some water and run it thru my air brush .
