      RE: Dynam GeeBee

I looked up the Gee Bee Y. The Dynam Gee Bee is, indeed, the Y. There were several versions of engine cowlings. One with bumps, as on the Dynam plane... one with double bumps...and one with no bumps. All with "7" on the side. I assume they were testing different cowlings and powerplants on the same airframe. As far as I can tell from photos, the Dynam Gee Bee is an exact replica (with the exception of the struts and wires) , including the wing span. The red on the full scale replicas is a much nicer deep red, which I will have to take care of. Doc

Recently purchased the dynam geebee. Ive always liked the geebees, so knew it had to go in the hanger. Other than being alittle squirly on landing, it flies great. Looks just as impressive on the ground as it does in the air.
