    FMS Pilatus PC-21 PNP, 1100mm

This is a new thread for the discussion of the FMS Pilatus PC-21 PNP, 1100mm with the US Navy trainer paint scheme Vance kindly provided to us. In my opinion this is what this hobby is all about, Vance brought us a brand new plane, and he's not even a manufacturer. Actually I wish he was! Woody

Actually makes the plane faster too because it has more pitch.

I was wondering exactly where you got that spinner and prop. Got to see if I can find something like this. Best part about this thing, 1100MM. Big enough to love. Small enough to keep in my plane rack.

Hey, it will work in a pinch!! I just don't have one in the vast fleet, so why not put one more in the hangar!! I dig the 5 bladed prop the most. I may do mine in SEA camo with rockets and drop tanks. But I sure like the orange and white too!!

I love the pattern like flying characteristics of this plane - very precise. And it is super easy to grease her in on landings nose high every time. The bulbous and clear canopy and generous cockpit of this plane make it an ideal FPV platform. Here are my setup and flight vids.

Here's a video on the Navy scheme PC-21 where I describe some mods I did to it for flying off of grass.

Please be gentle with the comments, it was the first video I ever did.

                Major Vance Danger,

You win! I have dozens videos and have not worked up the courage to tell a story in front of the camera yet. Pilot Kevin does have a valid point about holding a heavy camera though. My son (14yr old) gripes about a cell phone being too heavy to film a flight of 5 minutes...

Wish I had known they were going to do this before I went to the trouble of repainting my Unique Models T-6.

Did the US Army also fly T-6's?

They have 4 that they use for pilot training, research and chase plane duties.

A different perspective from a lead plane that I was flying close formation with at left wing position... Enjoy!

Loving the view from the cockpit of the PC-21, especially at sunset. Enjoy!

While this is an older model, it's long been a favorite of mine, and I was able to recently pick one up.

I'll be getting a couple of videos up over the next week or so, but every model must start by getting assembled, and here is the assembly video! :)

Was finally able to get the flight video edited. What a fantastic airplane!
