I actually tried them out on a flight with success, then removed them finished filing and dressing the ends, rubbed them down with a scotch-bright cleaned with alcohol and gave them a light clear coat. Now to refine that loose goose landing gear...
Already a big improvement. Got to have some fun with her today after work. She likes the new wood 9x6 prop too!

Cool. I kept the gps, virtual fence and auto land functions on mine. Never had any problems that others have had. I might upgrade the struts. It makes a good conversation piece at the flying field . Thanks for sharing.

I got many flights on mine with the help of the SAFE modes, and had a bit of fun letting it auto-land much to the amazement of the old timers, when I would set the transmitter down and walk over to sit down on the peanut gallery bench. Had to remove it all though as she tried to self destruct a few times. Now she just has the Spektrum sport reciever with no gyro or SAFE...don’t even have low rates set up. Flies better than ever and even did touch and goes in the grass /dirt off runway.
