Prop on 1400 mm FMS Corsair

Greetings.

Had 2 prop blades break on me yesterday while flying my Corsair. Changed them out and now I have vibration. Checked for loose or broken motor mounts, bent prop shaft. Everything seems to be ok there. So I figure the prop must be out of balance. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to check this and how to balance the prop for smooth, vibration free operation. All input appreciated. Thanks.

I use a Great Planes C.G. Machine. You will need one anyway and most props need balancing. You get get one from Motion (Great Planes C.G. Machine - GPMR2400). Sounds like your props are out of balance.

A Prop Balancer is a must in any tool inventory, make it a habit to balance every prop you fly. One of the only Mfg that does not need balancing is Master Airscrew, all others need attention.

I have the Great Planes prop balancer and found that it just didn't work for props that size, so I bought a Dubro prop balancer.  Much better for this scale as you can hang the prop off the side of it and over the edge of your work bench.

The GP one is good for smaller props, but the Dubro Tru-Spin is the one for larger props

Make that a third! I have the Dubro balancer and you can use it on any size prop and spinners. I wouldn't be without one.
