RE: Iron Ass meets Dallas Doll...OUCH!!
OW!
The worst damage from what I can see is to the battery hatch lid, at least that's replaceable, the rest is pretty easy

A must in my hanger!
It did some pretty good damage to my Mustang as well, but a little work with this stuff, and good to go!
BTW, Lauren put me on to some pretty good touch up paint as well, its made by Delta creative, its called Ceramcoat the color is metallic silver. It comes in an 8 oz size and will last you forever. Its fairly thick, so you can either water it down and air brush with it, or leave it thick and apply with a brush, it will help fill in holes.
As for the antiglare panel green, Ace Hardware, scan, sample can, voila, problem solvedkeep in mind, this is an Iron Ass conversion. With the panels around the exhaust stacks, I used a different silver that was a little darker. Its made by Sargent and I got them both on Amazon.

RE: Iron Ass meets Dallas Doll...OUCH!!
OK, sorry for not explaining but it was a Looooong day and I was too pooped to write anything. Flew in a charity airshow at Buder Park here in St Louis which is a very nice RC facility with 2 350ft runways. Since there were several of us there with this size warbird they asked us to fly several formation flights which we gladly did. First round went just fine but this happened on our second "mission" . There were 5 of us in the flight and about 4 minutes in as we finished a low pass and climbed out for a turn I saw a shadow on Iron Ass and before I could react I was hit from above by the FMS P-51 Dallas Doll. It looked and sounded really bad as I saw several large pieces of aircraft scatter and both planes tangled and went into spins. Luckily we both managed to regain control and I belly landed just off the runway since I was afraid to take the time to drop gear and flaps in case something else let go and I lost control. Dallas Doll came around and made a landing minus the canopy and hatch and with just 2 blades remaining (luckily only opposing blades broke).Originally posted by XF-15DCCWOW!
Cant wait to hear the full story!
Imagine my surprise to find one of the other 2 sticking in my cowling. Besides that damage I only suffered a broken landing light which probably popped out when the closed gear door snagged and broke loose. All in all we were both VERY lucky to come away with such minor damage. Oh...and we got a nice round of applause for such an "exciting mission" and everyone making it back down :D .
Thanks to Grossman56 for the suggestions BTW, just finished ordering what you suggested along with the other parts I need to get her "mission ready"
