Here is my finished Mig-27. This was originally purchased by the Army for use as an aerial target. I found it at a swap meet for $20 and finally finished it after a year or so. It weighs 9.5 lbs ready to fly. Uses a 6S 5800 pack with an SK3 5055-320 motor and an APC 17-12E prop. Makes about 900 watts and this should fly OK, but I may need a higher KV motor to get more power and speed with 6 cells.

With the long nose I had to position all the components as far aft as possible to get the CG correct. I added tricycle landing gear with nose wheel steering (but no rudder). -
In my younger days I flew some of these targets for the gunners. Here is a souvenir from one flight. The machine gun bullet hit the top of the engine dead center and went straight down through the piston.Comment
