This is my version of the V2 being done on a V1 edition. All decals are water slide made on my printer. Should note that I completed this model almost a year before the V2 came out and HK and I used the same aircraft number by chance.

I still have my V1, which is mostly for winter flying off snow/ice. Still in perfect shape and flies magnificently. It should be pointed out that the price from V1 to V2 has risen by nearly 60% for what is basically the same plane.Leave a comment:

Here's the Avios HU-16 Albatross relaxing at the shoreline after many batteries later. This shot was taken at a Cottage near Huntsville, Ontario, Canada in July. Very few people around and it performs without any drama. Great product. I recall a member of this forum citing that HK has seemingly stepped up as a probable result that Motion RC has had a great influence on many other outlets to look at the lack of quality and dedication to their products. Having the RC community actually have some input into the outcome of "real life production" and to make everything better, is the way things should be. We pay the money and they make the right stuff(or almost). No one wants arrogant, greedy monopolies jamming everybody with overpriced and undervalued crap! But, once in awhile, a great thing emerges! Motion has "emerged" many a great product. There are some that try to best Freewing and Flightline for their productions....
I might be right, but I might be wrong....Ever notice how many 4 door sedan manufacturers have ripped off Audi for their design cues?...Leave a comment:

I need to replace one of my props as it sheared off after hitting the water hard.
I cannot unscrew the spinner. Does anyone remember if one of them (right) is counter threaded? How can I grip it as it is smooth?Leave a comment:

I just went to give them a try. Both are the same thread (standard). I put mine on with a little FoamTac on the threads, so I need to use a surgical glove to grab them tight enough to turn.Leave a comment:

I need to replace my broken prop but can't get the spinners loose. as they are counter rotating I dont know if the shafts are threaded the same normal way "righty tighty lefty loosey"?Mine did that on the maiden. It was way out of trim and was hard to get trimmed. It took the second flight to get it right. I dialed down the rates and increased the expo tremendously. Now, it's quite predictable. I balanced it by the book but can't remember what that is at the moment. Don't give it so much power on take off. I give it enough to get it skidding along the grass and then back off once it breaks friction. Then I increase throttle more gradually so it doesn't leap into the air so violently. It can be tricky to keep the wings level at first so a tip pontoon doesn't drag and cause it to veer off in that direction.Leave a comment:

I've had trouble with this thing from the start. Using a 4s 4000mah battery and balancing at the spec 80mm It takes off like a rocket ship straight up. Takes some finger work to tame it every time.
Any thoughts anyone?
tks
