  • Hobbico SkyVista low wing rc plane

Had this Hobbico SkyVista that sat on the basement of a friend's house for years, and a few months on mine. Between the 1/5 large scale trucks, brushless truggies and other projects, managed to find time and hands on to fix it up.

The previous owner had wires from wing wheel legs to hold both wings together. I think it never flew, barely taxi w old OS .40. I ended installing a Megatech .46, on 10% Omega fuel w half ounce of castor oil.

Used the same JR servos, did replace w FHSS receiver, the stock heavy rubber tires w foams (saved five ounces just on that), new fuel tank, fuel lines, and receiver battery. Epoxy were needed, CA glue, balance according to the available online manual and up to the sky it went. All it took was move the battery and spinner, balance as it is. It flies very smooth, its almost has that flying simulator feel, its as if it auto lands on its own, track it, line up w the field and let it float in on its own.
