I'm a 63 year old retiree who started flying rc about 2 years ago. Having a ball. My YouTube channel is Hangar 37 (because I bought 37 planes my first year flying) See attached link. My wife calls me crazy, my kids call me old and I love flying (1crazyoldflyer). My biggest fear is that if I die, my wife will sell all my planes for what I told her I paid for them. I am looking forward to sharing my RC experience with all you flyers out there. Love watching RC videos on YouTube. Please share them with me.

Hey John, welcome to the nut house!
I'm a crazy old 62 year old, at least that's what they tell me!  Don't feel a day over 40 anyway and besides, we're all reliving our childhood, the way it should have been!
Just got number 10 assembled and ready for flight.
I love Wisconsin, the wife and I attended Dave Scott's course in Shawano last year, and we're going back again in June.  Beautiful flying country!

Wyoming is pretty good, but a definite lack of grassy fields and a preponderance of wind!
Great to have you here, there's a lot of great people with a wealth on information, I've been here since I started flying 2 1/2 years ago and they've been a great help getting me where I am now.

Not to much to share yet, Just started last fall but, having fun 61yr old retiree with 7 planes so far. Found a love for biplanes though..

Started with Jetco/Guillows/Comet stick and tissue FF rubber power in 1965
Got into CL models in 1970
1973 I got a Matel rudder-wagger single channel (no range and no useful control) RC system
1975 I got a 5 channel Kraft radio, Enya .35 and Das Little Stick
uncounted models later...
I currently have 7 of the PZ/E-Flite micros, 6 of the Dynam WWII warbirds + the T-28, Albatross and Tiger Moth, The full set of Great Planes appx 30 inch WWI fighters, Proctor/VK 1/6 Sopwith near ready to fly, Fokker Dr1 in box 50CC AMR low wing Big Stick, 50cc Ultimate, 33cc P-51, 107 inch Me-262 under construction (twin BVM EVF fans) and about 60 more...

Welcome John!

   I'm a semi crazy retired 65 year old who after a 30 year break in R/C got back into electric foamies. I tend to like warbirds I have the FMS 1400 Corsair and the P51 Dallas Darling also just got the Pandora for Christmas to replace my Sensei I had since I started flying again. Like Iowa 54 I found a special fondness for biplanes, I have the Rock Hobby Yellow Waco and I'm going to get the red and white Waco. I also would like to have the Dynam Waco and the new FMS P40. You can never have enough planes Ha! Ha!. There's a wealth of information on the forum from a lot of great guys you will soon find,so have a great time and good flying!

Hey Boomer, you should add an FMS 1400 Pitts to your hangar as well before they disappear.  They are awesome birds!  I see Motion has sold out, but they may get more, if not check around and scoop one up as they are halting production

Hi, John. I'm an ex full scale pilot and retired sculptor, blues musician, etc., etc. I started with plastic models in 1953 and then Guilliows in c.1955. I have always LOVED airplanes! Last time I counted... 51 planes. Very sick man, so my wife tells me!!! Welcome! The Doctor

Hi John, the part about your greatest fear cracked me up. My first RC was a Sterling Fledgling in 1972, and I'm not saying how many planes I have, lol.

Hi John,
I'm 60, semi retired and got into R/C about 3 years ago. I'm sort of all over the place on my planes, Freewing Waco and CTSL, Flyzone Beaver and Corsair, Hacker Sbach and Ultimate Biplane, E-Flite Cub and Mini-Pulse, and now an Origin Wilga and a Great Planes Super Sportster.
I recently started selling my less used stuff on Craig's List, only to replace them with different models. I told my wife I had just sold 2 of my planes at Christmas and she was very impressed that I was culling out my herd. Then I told her I bought 4 more and she just shook her head in shame. Hey, it's an addiction!

I hear you!  I'm trying not to buy any more planes this year as the P40 makes ten and I certainly can fly happily through the year with the three Mustangs, two Pandoras, the Pitts and the Waco, technically the Apprentice is the wife's and the Super cub is retired.  Still, I find myself back on the plane pages checking out this and that, hey who am I fooling??

What a great hobby. I also have a passion for biplanes (along with the warbirds). Check out the attached video link for a peek at some of my biplanes. I just finished my Parkzone Sport Cub S2 with snow skis, watch for my build, taxi test and maiden flight videos, coming soon..

Hi John. Welcome. I'm kinda new to the group but have been viewing for a while and I really want to tell you this group of individuals are Smart. Also very friendly and helpful. I think were all in the same boat when it comes to our planes. I have a 1450 corsair, the HH corsair w/safe, Goldberg 81"nitro j3 piper cub, great planes 61 size p 51 nitro, 46 size nitro trainer, Phoenix 55" nitro spitfire, dynam peaks extreme biplane and today just opened my brand new f6f dynum hellcat. Came in from motion rc today. Unlike most of these guys I don't have a wife to stop me from getting planes just money. Only 59 right now but hope to have my house full by 60. Good flying. Hey W. John , welcome to the forum . You like the rest of us never imagined becoming junkies out our age . You are defiantly hooked . 
After my second plane my wife reminded me that we were not building onto the house ! I think I'm at around fifteen or sixteen now . 
You'll find a great bunch of flyers here who will go to all ends to find or figure out problems for anyone , there no bad questions .
