Finally got my Christmas present today a little late. It is a Balsa USA Fokker DVIII. Looking forward to the build of this plane!

Looks like a very nice flying plane. Have you decided on a power plant yet. Gas or electric?

I'm going with a gas power probably a DLE engine.

I got the major assemblies of the wing assembled. I got some more trimming before I can join the wings to the center section of the wing. The wingspan is just shy of 8' and I used up one bottle of CA glue on the wing so far. Had to order some more CA from MRC today and ordered a new Zenoah G26 to power this beast.

I must have missed it, is this 1/4 scale, n ? The Zenoah G26 has a good kick for its size. Should be a sweetheart in your DVIII!

Got the wing 90% finished I'm 5' 9" tall and this wing is just shy of 8'. I know its not a biplane but it did serve in WW1. I get to start building the fuselage next!

8' wing! 1/4 scale is such a great size for aircraft from this period. 'Eager to see how the fuselage construction progresses!

Thanks! I'm working on the covering right now I hope to get it finished soon. Life events put it on hold for awhile.
