Super Decathlon 2450mm (96.4") Wingspan from Black Horse - Balsa Wood ARF - BHM1006-001

The American Champion 8KCAB Decathlon and Super Decathlon are two-seat fixed conventional gear light airplanes designed for flight training and personal use and capable of sustaining aerobatic stresses between +6g and −5g.

Black Horse's RC model is scaled to approximately 1:4 scale and attention was paid to a true to original appearance and best flight characteristics. The model can be operated using an electric power system or a gas or nitro power system.

Visit the Official Black Horse Super Decathlon 2450mm Discussion Thread on HobbySquawk.com for additional photos, videos, reviews, and customer Q&A.
    Detailed Cockpit

A detailed cockpit and painted pilot adds to the realism and scale appeal. An opening door reveals the detailed instrument panel and false floor that conceals other electronics.
    Fiberglass Molded Cowl

The one-piece painted cowl requires minimal adaptation to your preferred power system.
    Gas or Electric Power

You can choose between gas or electric to power your model depending on your preference.
    Scale Details

The Decathlon sports several scale details and functions including opening cabin doors and metal braces. Clear molded plastic windows and windscreens enhance the realism and provide a view into the detailed cabin, including painted internal bracing structures.
    Vibrant Paint Scheme

The model comes with a bold and beautiful red and white paint scheme that is highly visible. Its airfoil is carefully selected for class "high-wing" flight characteristics, with a very mild stall, high lift, and stable behavior.
    Features:
    • High level of prefabrication right out of the box
    • Lightweight, strong, laser cut balsa and plywood construction
    • ~1/4 Scale
    • Panel lines and details printed directly onto the pre-applied, high quality covering

Anyone know if a 50cc engine would be too much for this one?

50cc would probably just be to much for what the airframe needs. You can check the manual here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/10...lon_Manual.pdf

Kind of what I figured. I have a spare 50cc laying around looking for a new home, LOL. Thanks

Why are there no flaps on this plane?

Has anyone tried putting a 35cc Stinger (RCGF) on this Agwagon? It seems to be pretty stoutly made and I want to put it on fiberglass floats and don't know how it can take the extra weight? (anyone?)

                To address a message above:
This model is a close quarter scale model of the Bellanca (or American Champion) Decathlon. As such, the full size does not have flaps!
This is the model I want when it comes in stock. Seagull ruined their “scale” model because they put flaps on an aircraft that doesn’t have any.
