  • Flight Line P-51D or B

Based on the success of FL 1600 mm P-38 and Spitfire Mk IX, it would be nice if they came out with P-51D or B in the 1600 or 1700mm size. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Hobby Squawk Six_50s ! I most certainly agree. I would love to see a FlightLine P-51D/B added to the 1600+mm class. And a BF-109 and Stuka to boot!

Heck, I'm waiting on a Nexa Mustang. I'm getting kind of hooked on these lower priced balsa planes. The look great.

Somehow we have to get the word out to stimulate interest.

Well I would be shocked if there wasn't a Mustang in the 1600+ class within a year or two.

No! No! No! I still have an FMS P-51B still in the box. If Flightline comes out with one, I’ll never get it flying.

Maybe I missed it, but there are only 3498 posts in the forum.

The more we shout it out the better, it worked for the OV-10, so maybe.....

I would instantly buy one or more P-51's in the new 1600 size series. And I would pray it would be in the old crow or Big Beautiful Doll livery (or similar). I want that soooo bad. I almost pulled the trigger on the old crow, but I'm going to hold out hoping they release a new one in the 1600 update. I also looked really closely at the new e-flite 1.5 p-51, but can't stand the blue race livery.

Just a bit too small. And I feel that the Flight Lines series pays attention to more detail in their kits.

Me too! Same thing with the eFlite 1.5 P-51. Looks good but I detest the scheme. Just don't want to pay $500 and then have to totally repaint and add decals.

I would say B, they have the D model in freewing, and it is excellent

I should say! I would LOVE a D given the FlightLine touch in a giant scale class...I know cost/shipping comes into play heavily with giant scale but a 2M FlightLine P-51D in a killer livery AND plain for custom liveries would just be, um, yes please.

Something similar in looks and size to the Top RC Model P-51...But I suppose I could settle with a 1.6M

I'm glad I went with the old crow, well worth the money and flys beyond the value sold at by a factor of 4. Especially if you put the right battery in it.
