  • Banana Hobby/BlitzRC 1.2 Corsair Stability Issues

Back in August after my maiden flight on this bird I had a hard crash that broke the motor mount. The foam was also damaged behind the mount. I thought I got it shored up with some balsa, but since then I have had major issues with it wanting to nose over, especially on landing. It also appears that the prop shaft has drooped and is pointed down and right. I know that many planes have the motor off set slightly to help counter torque, but this really seems excessive. Does anyone have a similar photo for comparison?

Also, someone in another group suggested gluing the wings and doing away with the fold feature to help with in flight stability. He claims that the wings flex too much at the fold mechanism and cause it to be unstable. Thoughts on that?

I'm about to give up on this plane, but like it too much to throw in the towel without one more try at getting it straightened out.
