Wondering if anyone has this plane? I recently finished this and I was thinking of using a 5 cell 4000mah battery in it. It calls for a 6 cell.I have read some others have had some CG issues and it flies better as a sport plane with a 5 cell.

Anyone have any experience with this plane?

Sounds like it is on the heavy side for an electric. Cell count is more a function of your motor KV and prop than anything else. But 5 cell 4000mAh sounds like it is in the correct size range for a 55", 6lb model.

Now most wood ARFs are often weak in the landing gear area. This is true of just about all the Phoenix models I have. Add some glue and support structure to the landing gear plate. Now the wood ARFs from Extreme Flight and Precision Aerobatics don't suffer these issue.

Wood models often aren't as robust as EPO foam. I have to ask what happened to your Olympus. I'd think that if the weights are close they should land about the same (be easy to sport fly)

Well I did the maiden on the Sea Bee today. That sure is a sweet plane. I was not sure what was going to happen but I was pleasantly surprised. Seemed to have plenty of power. Took off like a rocket.

This is what I used in the plane:

Motor: Power Up 46 Sport 620kv Outrunner Brushless Motor
Esc: Sky Power 80A ESC with Switchmode BEC
Servos: Emax 43g ES3001 Analog Standard Servo
        Prop: APC 12x6
        Battery 5S 4000mah
