  • Carbon S2 Aileron problem

I'm a beginner and had my maiden flight yesterday. I had an encounter with some tree branches. No structural damage but had a crash landing. My left aileron won't go back to the "normal" position. I can move it there manually, but when I plug the battery in it goes to full "down" position. All other elevator, rudder, right aileron are ok. I tried disconnecting the aileron connection and recconecting. Also tried binding the connection again. All seems normal, I get the rudder wag, but the left aileron continues to go the the full "down" position. Any suggestions?

In the crash, it’s likely the aileron got pushed forcefully and this resulted in the servo to ratchet past a bunch of teeth or even strip a lot of teeth. Only way to fix it is to replace the servo with an identical one. If you can’t find an identical one, then you’ll have to buy 2 new servos of the same size and replace both aileron servos.
