I am just new and I cant get my motor to move

I bought all the necessary materials to make an RC airplane. when I put my servos in I can move them it works perfectly but when I plug in my ESC and my motor it does not move. but it does make a peep sound. I plug in my ESC in ch3. can someone please help me I have been stuck on this for long and I need to do this for a school project

Have you tried channel 1? What brand is your transmitter and receiver?
