Hi All: I was going through some old files today, and found a project that I did, along with my partner, Bob Frey, back in 2008. We flew it in competitions at Top Gun, Scale Masters, and a few others. It was retired in 2009 to go to the Valiant Air Command Museum in Titusville, FL, where it can still be seen on display, I believe.
It was a fun project, a very different paint scheme, and featured some pretty cool scratchbuilt items like a opening gun bay and .50 caliber guns on one wing, bullet feed trays,
plus machined brass bullets and links that enhanced the overall look and accuracy of the model. Also had working cowl flaps, which I think were fairly rare at that time.
