There is an issue with the prop adapters snapping just from putting the prop on. I wonder if the replacement adapters have been corrected, or if there is an alternative adapter. Doc

MRC is already taking care of this problem...of course. -
Now... a warning about the Gee Bee Y foam hinges... They will fail! Mine seperated on the second flight. I've repaired the plane and used E-6000 on my hinges. Any good contact cement will work. I'm giving all my foam hinges a coat of this. DocComment

Hey Doc. I think that all Dynam planes must have this problem. Good plane just thin hinges. Both my Pitts and Hellcat exhibit seperation and I still haven't flown the Hellcat yet. Have used the foam tac on the Pitts to repair the upper and lower wings. I'll take your advice and do the Hellcat before l put her up on maiden.Dewey lComment

Doc, what exactly on the "adapter" is breaking? Is it the threaded motor shaft or that little cone nut that holds the prop on?Comment

On my Dynam planes, I take a thin film of Foam tac and run it the entire length of the hinge using a epoxy stick. This makes a strong hinge. It only takes a little. Let it dry and flex the hinges well afterwards. I have had no issues with from hinges using this method.Comment

xviper2... The adapter shaft snaps because it is drilled out too deep, into the threaded portion. MRC has notified Dynam of the problem and they are replacing it. Pheonix...Foam tac is good too. Every foam hinge should be reinforced this way. Loss of a plane is one thing... Hitting something or someone with an out of control plane, well...you can only imagine!!! DocComment

Its a Dynam problem, My AT-6 Texan did the same thing. Wasn't much past finger tight and it snapped off.Comment
