I am with you on the Looks, nothing exciting. But for those wanting to get their first low wing and have it be somewhat of a warbird then this one is a perfect choice IMHO . For advanced flyers its just such a relaxing flyer and will do the basic stunts easily and advanced moves very gracefully. I regretted selling the one I had. This one has been added to my ever growing list......

I still have version 1 and it flies just great with a Zippy compact 4500 30C battery. I m still on the fence with this one. No room for any more planes. I always tell my wife this is the last one. She looks at me and says sure. I have too many planes and have not even flown some yet. Talk about an addition!

G'day Ron,
She looks and I am glad that she flew well for you.
If you are going to use any more decals, spray a bit of wet water [water with a couple of drops of dish washing liquid] on the location that you want to place the decal and the decal with slide around until you have it in the right place.
Leave it for a couple of minutes to half and hour, remove the backing paper and all will be good. No paint missing and it makes it so easy to place the decals.
Regards and respect

G'day Ron,
Sorry to take so long getting back to you but I have started a new position at work and I am the lucky 'newbie' who gets to lift all the heavy bags of fertiliser. All ten tonnes by hand per day, so I have not even looked at the internet for a few days.
Soapy water will not [should not] remove acrylic paint once it has dried. My Navy drone control paint scheme Trojan started life as the red and white unit.
To remove the paint, I simply sat down in front of the TV and slowly rubbed my thumb over the paint with enough pressure as to not compress the foam. After a short time, some of the paint lifted off the foam and I was able to peel back large sections up to half an inch wide and the width of the painted section.
What did not come off, was then lifted with sticky tape by dabbing it on the paint and pulling it off. It is remarkably easy once the paint starts to come off.
After that, it was a case of washing all the foam in soapy water [dish washing liquid] and then washing again in clean water and drying before painting.
I used my airbrush to ensure that all the little nooks and crannies were free of water and it was quite amazing to see how much water was trapped in the panel lines even after two days of drying.
Now, the down side is that you will get a sore thumb and maybe even a blister from doing the paint removal.:D
Butternuts,
I am sure the T-28 will fly nicely with even 5000 mAh batteries on board. Just adjust as required for CG to suit what you want.
I have posted following many times and I will again...
Use the CG as directed in the manual as a starting point. If you want to, then move it forward or backwards in 5mm increments until you find a nice feel to suit you and your style. You may find that you will go back to the nominated spot or find yourself forward or backward of the mark from the manual.
Mostly, however, the manual is pretty close.
I have yet to see a FMS model that can not handle a bit more weight then specified. The P-51D battery is recommended at 2600. I do not know of anyone who flies with less than 3000. Plus add sound systems and cameras and gps sensors and... and....and. I think you get the picture.
I asked a question on another forum a few years back now about how much weight could a T-28 lift. No one ever came back with an answer.:p
You will be very cool with the battery.:D
Regards and respect
Daryl
