Out of winter storage and into the air!

Hi All: we've had some hellacious winds this winter here, but today was just a beautiful day, in all respects. Winds were mostly calm, so I took my FMS P-47D out of storage down from the rafters in the garage out for a couple of flights. I remember now what a great flyer this plane is. Really was a joy to fly, and it tracked extremely well down the runway for takeoffs and landings with that wide gear. Also Flew my T-33, which was a lot of fun, too. The P-47 is modeled after a real airplane, I Wanted Wings/ Button Nose that flew with the 56th Fighter Group out of Boxted, England in WWII.

Thanks. My favorite 8th AAF fighter unit from WWII.
