  • salto 2.4m power setup

Hi. I'm not shure if this is the right forum but I'm struggling with this setup.

The motor says 2-3 S but i got lots of 4S lipos and wanna know i can use it together wirhout burning something?

    It's for a Salto 2.4 meter glider.

    Hello Nikom,
Looking at the specs you reference for the Xpower motor, the manufacturer has published as you mentioned that it is for 2-3S LiPo usage.
It doesn't get any clearer than that, whereas however there have been times that modelers have pushed the upper limits on motors but with limited marginal success.
If you are really hankering to utilize your stash of 4S LiPos, then do so but do so by using a motor that is rated for turning a 13x6 prop on 4S power.
The size of a 4S motor you would be looking for should be around the 900kV range.
The ESC that you reference should be OK for use on a 4S motor.
    Regards,
    Warbird Charlie

Hi. Well thank’s for very useful info:) I’ll look for a 900kv ish.
In the manual there is nothing about mounting the motor in slight
downward to the right position. Som planes has the motor mounted
this way. I could just mount it straight an later use some washers
for correcting a possible wrong angle:)

      Thank you.
