  • Ideas for adding a Curtiss Electric prop instead of the stock prop on FMS 1500 mm P-47D razorback?

Hi All: I am contemplating buying another FMS 1500mm P-47D to detail as the famous Rozzie Geth of WWII fame. One thing I would like to do, if possible, is substitute the undersized Hamilton Standard prop and hub to one that was on many of the P-47s back then, the Curtiss Electric prop. The Curtiss prop hub is more bullet shaped and the props have cuffs at the base like the P-51 had.

Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on making or substituting a scale flyable Curtiss Electric prop for the Ham Stand prop?

Thanks for any ideas. I know someone who could fabricate an aluminum bullet shaped prop hub, no idea on the prop blades though.
