  • Eflite Valint

Hello. I am new to the hobby and have been studying and Flying and Apprentice 1.5m for a while. I have a Eflite Valiant I purchase from a club member. Everything worked fine. Have not flown it yet. I did upgrade the firmware in the AR636A. All controls work, but flaps are stuck in the down postion and will not move. The plane is bound to my DX8e. Appreciate any advice. Thanks, Ken.

Hopefully, you didn't overdrive the flap servos and they still work. Did you open up the flap menu by selecting the aircraft type as "1 AIL, 1 flap"? Once you do that, the flap menu opens up in your main menu and you scroll down to it and assign the switch to the usual switch D. Then you have to zero the flaps by first going into the servo menu, sub-trim for flap and using whatever it takes to get the flaps as close to even as you can. Then you go into the flap menu and in the switch position "0", start dialing in whatever percentage you need to do the final zero-ing of the flaps. From there, you can go to switch position "1" and dial in what it takes to give you take off flaps. Then to position "2" and dial in whatever it needs for landing flaps. Then you can slow down the flap deployment to as many seconds as you desire.
