  • Freewing FW-190

Having just destroyed my PZ FW-190A-8, I need a new 190. I really want a D-9 in 1100 - 1400mm foam electric, but no one is offering one.

Next choice is the Freewing 190A. I've heard great things about this model, and would have bought one already, except that I had stumbled upon a deeply discounted PZ 190, right after the kit went out of production. Now, I'm really wanting the Freewing 190 again, but MotionRC is showing it as out of stock. I've heard rumors that this kit is now out of production. Can anyone confirm/refute this rumor?

I cannot either way. However, I have two FMS FW- 190 and they both fly very well. There is an excellent build video on RC Informer if you decide to go this way. Looks like there is only one available now. I am more of a Freewing fan, as there quality is much better now.

I have the Freewing and the Dynam and both fly great . The Dynam is a 50 inch wing and 4s set up . If you get one no matter whose it is be sure to trim or check the clearence on the wheel skirts . If your on a hard surface they should be good but they tend to snag in the grass and cause nose overs .
Good luck and keeps us informed

Another option could be the Flyzone 190 they fly great but the retracts are pretty weak. I installed the mounts and electric retracts from the Freewing in mine and all is good with it now.

Well, it looks like I might have gotten the last 190 guys. I too had always wanted one, especially the Freewing, but never pulled the trigger. I always look daily at the Motion site and low and behold, one day last month I saw it discounted 30 bucks and saying it was not returnable due to the big discount, could be damaged, etc. I snapped it up and it is beautiful. I have not flown yet because it's still to cold for me, but I can't wait to try it soon. I was never able to see any videos or reviews on this either, but I hope it's a winner.

I have considered getting an FW 190 after my fond experience with it in War Thunder. While it is one of the most feared fighters there is because it can swoop down from a high altitude for a strike on unsuspecting enemy planes packing some heavy armament. It is often referred as a boom and zoom plane because that's what it is good at. How ever it is not a good dog fighter.
Any fan of this plane should try out the War thunder flight simulator game that features 8 different variants of the FW190 you can fly in combat. It is free to play for PC or PS4. I have found it to be a great way to get to know the flight characteristics of different warbirds from WWI - Korean era.
              War Thunder variants currently available.

Here is a good review of how to fly the the FW190 effectively in WT.
