So I got to buddy box with the Dallas Doll this weekend. It felt great. The instructor said for my first warbird after a couple months of flying, I did a great job. He even let me land and take-off. Landings were a little iffy, but take-offs were fine. So now I am ready to order my first one. I will order by Friday, so the plane would get here during spring break. :) I read reviews and such that both the Dallas Doll and 1200mm Trojan are good first warbirds. I am a huge mustang fan, so obviously leaning towards that one. Just wanted to see what input people had for these planes.

The P-51D DD is a great flyer and is very well behaved in the air, as I'm sure that you've already noticed. Being a tail-dragger warbird, it can be tricky to land, and is somewhat prone to nose-overs, especially on grass strips. Be very careful with the use of flaps on landing, and on take off. The AS3X certainly helps to steady out the Mustang on approach and landing. There is an excellent discussion on flying warbirds on RCGroups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2497439
I've never flown the T-28, but I've heard that it's a great flyer and is well behaved on for takeoff and landings with the tricycle gear.

I'm sure I will have both at some point. I'm just waiting for my va payment to go through then I will get one. But, the more I look, the more my mind changes. So I was joking with a friend yesterday that I was going to go to my lhs and just pick whichever one they had. Stopped by today and they had all 3 (1100, 1200, and p51). Figured I would get the plane from my lhs and the batteries and everything else from mrc. That way I am supporting everyone.
