The retracts are the same but there are new shock absorbing oleo struts with new tires coming which are specifically made for this plane. These will not be included with the plane but will be an optional upgrade for those who want this.
I've changed my wheels to Robart's on the stock struts, and have been pondering an oleo mod that I've seen several other P-38 pilots do. I'm willing to wait a few months for something drop in, assuming I don't have to replace the entire retract.
Now if you need a beta tester, you know how to get ahold of me, right???
I hate that motorcycle they make me ride. I'm here to tell you, there ain't nothing in the world I hate more than that elephant under my ass.

No idea on price or when just yet. These are not quite ready for production just yet so it is likely 2 - 3 months out.
Thanks Tom,
Nice to know they are in the works, the P-38 really needs a better landing gear setup. You can put me in the front of the line to buy them when ready!!

Do we have an expected time frame on when these will be available?
I opened a ticket with Motion and Brad responded with this.
"Yes Flightline is looking into doing a upgraded landing gear set but they have not done anything yet on this.Their is no release date on them at this time."
