Why does RC Castle have the new Flightline sprung struts advertised and Motion RC does not?

My guess is because Motion's order is on a container, on board a ship, somewhere in the Pacific. RC Castle your buying from Taiwan or Hong Kong, I have purchased from them before. Be ready to pay some shipping

I actually have a set of those struts on the way here from RC-Castel, and the shipping was only $8. I ordered them along with several Lemon RX's. Typically I receive my orders from them in about a 7 to 14 days. My last order from them was here in 6 days from shipping notice.

Yup, that's about right. I put a few other things in my order and the shipping was $9.00 CAN. I don't know where that $24.00 came from. Musta asked for "high speed, super duper, Peregrine Falcon, ultra expedited delivery".

That explains it. Those are the "super duper", high priced shipping methods, although they aren't really "falcon" speed (more like albatross speed). EMS and FedEx will also result in brokerage fees when the guy rings your doorbell, at least for me, it has in the past. EMS and FedEx have no sense of humor, only pure business all the way.
I've had stuff shipped via EMS, FedEx, UPS from China and all of them take about 2 weeks (give or take) once it gets to Hong Kong. Air parcel takes from 1 week to 10 days. Go figure. On the other hand, FedEx from HobbyKing in Oregon by ground can take 3 business days, but as always, I get a bill for brokerage. Air Parcel from China arrives by postal service and 99% of the time, I get away Scot free.

PS, When I don't see Air Parcel and the cheap method, I buy from someone else now, so I don't blame you for wanting to wait.

I contacted MotionRC this morning asking about this, this was their response. Since I'm in no hurry I'm going to wait on the upgraded gear from FlightlineRC.

"Thanks for contacting us on the P-38 and FlightlinRC is working on an upgraded landing gear system it has not been released yet. The upgrade that you see from RC castle is from some company called top-design which we do not deal with. Once FlightlineRC has their new designed gear struts available we will carry them."

They require some fiddling to make them work, even more so if you are using the bigger wheels from the P-51.

i have them in mine not bad to do.i put 2 3/4 wheels on mains and 2 1/2 on front.only thing i found you need to do is put 2 springs inside each main strut.it is no big thing they give you extra springs in case you need to do that. i,m using 2 3000 battery,s maybe why i had to add extra springs it is heavy. looks nice too!
