  • Wot 4 defects

The Wot4 is a great trainer but be wary of problems I have had recently. The undercarriage is not robust and readily breaks off completely when landing on grass. I have had to reinforce the mounting with through bolts to a plywood backing plate. I had a write-off when pulling up to start a loop and the wing ripped away around the wing securing bolt. I got round this on the next plane by adding another wing bolt roughly at the CoG position. When I purchased the new Wot 4, both ailerons were out of adjustment, about 3 mm upwards at the trailing edge. This caused the plane to pitch down, even with full scale adjustment on the Tx . Getting to the wing servos to make the adjustment requires cutting away the plastic cover plates. Finally, don't put any downward pressure on the tail wheel/rudder bracket assembly - the plastic hinge is not very strong and I managed to break mine.
