Have read on rc groups of cutting down a 12x12 to a 11x12. They talk like it works well.

11 x 12 is the correct size. We had hoped to have a prop which would fit the stock spinner but it is turning out to be a problem. We may end up using another spinner, another motor shaft (without the hex drive nut), and finally the 11x12 prop. We had hoped it would be simple but this is not turning out to be the case.
