After crashing my Eflite Dallas Doll, I replaced the fuselage and made two small upgrades: 40 amp esc and an APC 10/10 prop! Going 'downhill' with the wind I was getting 80 mph. I have to throttle back because the AS3X starts to cause the plane to wobble. Next mod is to replace the stock receiver with a non-AS3X one.

After being given a wrecked one to rebuild I converted to 4s, 3548 1100kv motor, 60A esc and a more suitable hot rod paint job. Definitely pushing the limits of the plane even after much carbon fiber reinforcing -

Wow getting 80 in a dive not bad just watch the pull out after awhile could cause a wing spar to fracture. Also great color scheme keep them coming. Seeing different colors to a plane that is produce by everyone is more relaxing to me great job!Comment

When you increase the speed and performance of a model above its designed specification several things can happen and one of the major problems is one of airframe failure in flight. This can take on many different forms. One of the biggest problems is one of control surface flutter. This will destroy a control surface in a fraction of a second and cause a crash.
The model will have been designed with certain parameters in mind. Control hinges, horns and push rods, servo size and power, finished weight and limits to the model and so on.
Just be aware of the other factors involved when increasing the performance of a model aircraft. It's for this reason Motion RC does not recommend modifications to increase the speed and performance above what is recommended by the manufacturer.

I have a Funjet that does 120 MPH +. I used FMS servos and hardware. So far no flutter and works great! DocComment
